First, an introduction …
We never wanted to be millionaires or walk on the moon. We never aspired to dance across Broadway or appear in a blockbuster movie. No, we had bigger plans. My husband Brian and I wanted to create a beautiful,
inspirational way to touch the hearts and minds of the special children in our lives. Every day, their smiles, giggles and little whispers filled our hearts with so much joy. Wasn’t there a way to make them feel just as special?
And then, it came to us. Why not create a way for children to celebrate themselves through the power of beautiful music? All kids love great music. And, hearing their very own name within the lyrics makes it even more heartfelt and mesmerizing.
Have you ever heard a child grumpily humming a nursery rhyme?
It’s just not possible! Music is an instant uplift that entrances us all. It picks us up when we’re down. It helps us to learn basic rhythms, patterns and stories that enable us to become productive, happy adults. And sometimes, it’s just plain fun!
A natural progression …
We have to believe that our “former lives” prepared us to create Kid Music. I was a neo-natal nurse, and Brian was a product development engineer. I’ve always been around children – especially babies.
I’ve seen what stimulates and delights them, and how parents are always seeking out the best choices for their children. Music has always been a part of our lives. In fact, Brian and I met on a ballroom dance floor!
Of course, we’ve always adored children, and have three wonderful children
and three grandchildren (so far!) to prove it. After some years of preparation and thought, Brian’s technological background and the help of some other dedicated team members really helped us to realize our vision.
Experiencing the results first hand …
After we conceived the idea of Kid Music, we couldn’t wait to try out the personalized music CDs on our own. The first time our grandbabies heard their names being magically sung in the music,
we were filled with great excitement! They were stunned that someone was actually singing just for them. They danced all around and wanted to hear the songs over and over again. In no time, every tune was
memorized and held dear to their hearts. What a thrill!
